Quartermaster AI is seeking a strategic Head of Delivery to own the global rollout of the Smartmast network. You will be the architect of our expansion, managing the complex interplay between field operations, logistics, launch, and our fleet partners.
You will not only manage the "last mile" of deployment but also the "first mile" of market entry—determining the logistics of where, when, and how we launch in new regions. You will serve as a cross organization facilitator on new technical and regulatory requirements while acting as the primary operations manager charged with ensuring Quartermaster Field Operations and its vendor network are optimally sized to support current and emerging projects.
1. Global Launch & Market Expansion
Launch Readiness: Lead the SmartMast product delivery scoping and execution of launches in new global markets. You will be responsible for working with Analytics to map vessel availability against installation targets to optimize deployment schedules.
Vendor Ecosystem: Build and manage a global network of third-party vendors and installation partners. You must assess vendor availability and capability in target regions to ensure we have the "boots on the ground" required to scale.
Requirement Discovery: Work across Growth, Analytics, and Mission Success ahead of the deployment curve to identify specific customer requirements and regulatory constraints in new international markets, ensuring our operational plan is adapted for local success before hardware arrives.
2. Field Operations & Network Deployment
Lead Field Teams: Manage personnel across field operations, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality installation and maintenance of the Smartmast network.
Site Management: Oversee the scheduling and execution of deployments on vessels and offshore assets, coordinating closely with vessel captains and port authorities.
Maintenance Protocols: Establish and enforce rigorous maintenance schedules to ensure maximum network uptime and sensor reliability.
3. Logistics & Hardware Fulfillment
Sensor Shipment Management: Oversee the end-to-end shipment of sensors and hardware, ensuring strict adherence to customer-defined specifications and delivery windows.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between Engineering and Global Supply & Logistics to ensure compliant hardware is spec’d and delivered correctly. This is specific to oil and gas fleet partners and customers.
4. Fleet Partnerships & Customer Technical Success
Technical Account Management: Serve as the primary technical interface for Fleet Partners that may convert into customers. You must be fluent in discussing hardware specs, installation constraints, and network architecture with Vessel Masters and Operations Directors to build credibility.
Commercial Conversion: Drive operational excellence that builds trust, directly influencing the transition of partners from Fleet Partners to full-scale, paying customers.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in field operations, launch management, or logistics, preferably within the Maritime, Oil & Gas, or Industrial IoT sectors.
Launch Expertise: Proven experience entering new international markets, including vetting local vendors and navigating regional logistics challenges.
Technical Literacy: Strong ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts to non-engineering customer stakeholders.
Operational Planning: Ability to analyze complex data sets (vessel schedules, vendor capacity) to create efficient deployment roadmaps.
Travel: Ability to travel 20-40% (Domestic and International)of the time to support global launches, field deployments, and customer meetings.
Opportunity to architect the global launch and field operations strategy for a game-changing maritime network.
Direct impact on revenue growth and international market penetration.
Work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge hardware/AI environment.
