We're looking for a versatile HR & Talent Acquisition Manager to join our growing game studio. In this role, you'll own the full employee lifecycle from sourcing and recruiting top talent, to onboarding, performance management, and everything in between. OBJECTIVES
Talent Acquisition
Partner with team leads to identify hiring needs and craft compelling, role-specific job descriptions
Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates across engineering, design, marketing, product, and more
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
Champion TapBlaze as an employer of choice through employer branding, industry events, and community outreach
Human Resources
Oversee onboarding and off-boarding processes to ensure smooth employee transitions
Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related questions, employee relations, and day-to-day people operations
Coordinate payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with California labor laws
Create, maintain, and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and our performance review system
Culture & Engagement
Plan and execute employee engagement activities that reflect our studio's values and creative spirit
Support company culture initiatives and help maintain what makes TapBlaze a great place to work
Contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment as the team scales

Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
Full-cycle recruiting expertise and modern sourcing techniques
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in-office and thrive in a fast-paced, small-studio environment

A genuine passion for games is a strong plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3+ years of combined HR and recruiting experience, preferably in the gaming industry
Proven track record of sourcing and hiring top talent, ideally at a game studio or creative company
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work;
Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer.
The range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.
