Control Systems Operations & Support
- Provide technical support for ICSS (Integrated Control & Safety Systems), including DCS, ESD, F&G, and PLC systems.
- Monitor system performance, trends, alarms, and diagnose anomalies.
- Execute troubleshooting activities on control and safety automation systems to minimize downtime.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all automation and safety-related systems.
Maintenance Activities
- Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for ICSS, instrumentation, and control equipment.
- Review, update, and validate maintenance procedures and work packs.
- Conduct loop checks, functional tests, calibration checks, and system health verifications.
- Support offshore technicians during interventions requiring advanced ICSS expertise.
System Modifications & Documentation
- Propose and implement minor modifications, software updates, and configuration changes when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and system backups.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and change management processes.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to offshore HSE rules, safety procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Verify proper functioning of safety systems such as ESD and Fire & Gas.
- Support audits and inspections related to automation and control systems.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with onshore engineering and discipline leads to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide technical reporting and feedback following interventions offshore.
- Participate in daily operations meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electronics, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong experience with ICSS systems on offshore platforms, preferably in gas production environments.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one major vendor (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB, Emerson, Schneider, Siemens).
- Solid understanding of ESD, F&G, PLC logic, and process control principles.
- Experience with offshore maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of international safety and control system standards (IEC, ISA, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural offshore teams.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Valid offshore medical and safety certifications (BOSIET, HUET, etc.) preferred.
