1. Position Summary
The Workover Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of workover and well intervention operations. He/she ensures that all activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and HSE requirements while supervising contractors and optimizing workover performance.
2. Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision
Supervise and coordinate all workover and well intervention operations on site.
Ensure that the workover program is executed in accordance with engineering plans and operational procedures.
Monitor daily operations, equipment performance, and personnel activities.
Troubleshoot operational issues and propose corrective actions.
HSE Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to company HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments (JSA, PTW).
Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety barriers.
Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
Personnel & Contractor Management
Supervise workover crew, service companies, and third-party contractors.
Ensure clear communication across all teams and stakeholders.
Evaluate crew performance and maintain discipline and productivity.
Well Integrity & Technical Control
Ensure well control readiness at all times (BOP tests, equipment checks).
Verify the integrity of wellheads, completions, and tubulars before and after operations.
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and well data.
Cost & Resource Management
Optimize rig time, material usage, and operational costs.
Validate service tickets, material requests, and logistics requirements.
3. Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in drilling, workover, or well intervention operations.
Proven background supervising workover rigs in onshore/offshore environments.
Language : English and French mandatory
4. Certifications
IWCF or IADC Well Control Certificate – Mandatory.
BOSIET / HUET (for offshore roles).
H2S and First Aid Training preferred.
5. Working Conditions
Rotation schedule (e.g., 28/28 or 21/21).
Onshore or offshore operational environment
