Independent Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Independent Accountant to join a newly established European trading hub focused on the distribution of low voltage cables and electrotechnical products.
This role will focus on day-to-day accounting operations, document processing, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The person in this position will work closely with an external accounting partner as well as manufacturing units.
YOU WILL
- Process and verify purchase and sales invoices in line with internal procedures and accounting standards
- Support the accounting of domestic and international trade transactions, including imports, intra-Community acquisitions and supplies, and exports
- Prepare accounting data and documentation for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile receivables, payables and selected balance sheet accounts
- Monitor the correctness and completeness of accounting documents, including transport, customs and warehouse-related documentation
- Support the settlement of rebates, credit notes, transport costs, customs duties and other transaction-related charges
- Cooperate closely with the external accounting partner responsible for statutory accounting and tax compliance
- Work with internal stakeholders such as sales, logistics and trade finance to ensure accurate document flow and financial data
- Maintain proper archiving and circulation of accounting and operational documents
- Support reporting preparation by delivering accurate and timely accounting data
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Previous experience in a similar accounting role, such as Independent Accountant, Accountant or Senior Accountant
- Experience gained in a distribution, trading, industrial or manufacturing company
- Practical experience in invoice processing and day-to-day accounting operations
- Good knowledge of Polish accounting regulations and accounting processes
- Practical knowledge of Polish VAT regulations
- Experience in working with accounting or ERP systems
- Good Excel skills
- Communicative English, both written and spoken
- Experience with international transactions, including import, export, ICS or ICA
- Experience in a product-based environment involving logistics, warehouse operations or goods flow processes
- Experience cooperating with external accounting offices or shared finance partners
- High level of accuracy, responsibility and good organization of work
- Ability to work independently while cooperating effectively with external and internal stakeholders
