Demand for new solar projects is booming (1 ⁄ 5 of all the solar that exists in the US was installed last year!), but today’s construction companies can’t keep up due to limited labor resources.
We thought this was insane, so we started working on robots to directly address this bottleneck and speed up the world’s transition to renewables.

As Inventory & Shop Manager at Charge Robotics, you'll be the backbone of our R&D operations—keeping our workshop organized, safe, and well-equipped while building and maintaining the systems that keep our inventory and manufacturing operations running smoothly.
What you'll be working on:
Tackling an inventory mapping project to create a comprehensive system connecting our digital records with physical stock locations across the shop and warehouse
Supporting the implementation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), working cross-functionally to streamline our production tracking and inventory management
Implementing 5S principles to strategize and plan out our workshop: equipment, tools, and hardware
Coordinating the downstream physical and digital management of inventory
Organizing and maintaining the workshop for efficiency and safety, building out safety protocols and addressing OSHA compliance
Coordinating with the engineering, technician, and supply chain teams to maintain stock of tools, hardware, and equipment
You:
Have at least 2+ years of relevant experience as an inventory manager or shop lead who managed inventory systems
Have experience documenting and organizing inventory for mechanical, industrial, or electrical equipment
Have demonstrated experience implementing or working with inventory management systems, ideally including MES or similar manufacturing software
Are highly organized, with strong attention to detail in managing inventory and workspace
Have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and enjoy working on a small team
Are forklift and/or telehandler certified
Are based in or can relocate to the SF Bay Area, and able to work 5 days/week from our San Leandro HQ
It'd also be nice if you:
Have experience with shipping/receiving operations
Have supply chain coordination experience
Have used ION manufacturing software or similar MES platforms before
Have worked at a fast-paced startup before, and enjoyed it
Have implemented barcode, RFID, or other tracking systems for physical inventory
