The Information Security team is a group of highly skilled professionals dedicated to identifying leaks, breaches, and vulnerabilities across digital systems. They rigorously investigate the security aspects of various tools and products, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.

We’re looking for an Information Security Research Team Lead who is primarily a strong people manager with a solid technical background. This role focuses on leading and developing a team of researchers, setting direction, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Hands-on security research experience is highly valued, as it enables you to guide the team effectively and stay close to the technical domain. If you’re passionate about building strong teams and bringing technical credibility to leadership, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead and support a team of security researchers—setting priorities, offering guidance, and helping them growPlan and carry out research on cybersecurity tools, vulnerabilities, and threatsValidate findings through hands-on testing and reliable sourcesWork closely with editorial, SEO, and product teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevanceShare insights across departments and contribute to internal security practicesKeep up with the latest developments in cybersecurity and apply them to our workGet involved in scripting, reverse engineering, and other technical investigationsBe an advocate for cybersecurity excellence—bring proof of your skills, showcase your work, and help raise the bar for security awareness across the company
WHAT WE EXPECT
Experience managing or mentoring a technical team, ideally in cybersecurity or a similar fieldStrong hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, vulnerability research, and a solid grasp of information technology fundamentalsExperience in researching, analyzing, and fact-checking technical content (bonus if in the tech or consumer electronics industry)Background in reverse engineering, scripting (Bash, Python, etc.), and system administrationFamiliarity with exploit stacks, threat modeling, and basic secure coding principlesExcellent research skills and attention to detail; ability to turn complex topics into actionable insightsStrong communication skills to provide clear, constructive feedback and collaborate effectively across departmentsSelf-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
