Job Role
As a Sommelier:
- Curate and manage the wine list in collaboration with the restaurant team
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the guest dining experience
- Conduct staff training on wine knowledge and service standards
- Oversee proper wine storage, inventory, and ordering
- Engage with guests to share stories, origins, and tasting notes with professionalism and passion
- Work closely with chefs and FOH team to ensure a seamless and elevated service
As a Junior Sommelier:
- Support the sommelier in day-to-day operations
- Assist guests with wine selections and pairings
- Maintain stock levels and ensure correct storage
- Develop your wine knowledge through hands-on experience and training
- Deliver exceptional service while learning and growing within the role
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a sommelier or junior sommelier role (or strong front-of-house experience with a focus on wine)
- Solid knowledge of wines, wine service and pairings (WSET or similar certification is a plus)
- A passion for wine and a strong desire to learn and develop professionally
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Professional presentation and attention to detail
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
