We are a fast growing, multi-line Managing General Agency (MGA) providing a diverse range of insurance products across commercial and personal lines. We partner with carriers and agents nationwide, delivering high quality underwriting and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Manager to lead and refine our premium collection processes, reduce delinquency, and ensure accurate and timely cancellation workflows.
The Billing & Collections Manager is responsible for the oversight of all premium collection activities, delinquent account monitoring, and the full lifecycle of cancellations for non-payment. This role ensures adherence to carrier guidelines, state regulations, and internal operational standards. As a key leader within the operations department, this position works closely with underwriting, accounting, service, and agency partners to maintain strong cash flow and operational accuracy.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in premium billing, collections, or receivables management within an MGA, carrier, or insurance agency.Strong working knowledge of cancellation requirements, non-payment processing, and state regulatory timelines.Experience managing premium collections in a multi-line P&C environment.Proficiency with insurance accounting or MGA systems (e.g., AIM, Vertafore, Applied, or similar).Strong leadership experience with demonstrated team management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
