What’s the position?
The VIP Events Manager reports directly to the Director of VIP Promotions and Events and is responsible for leading the strategy, ideation, coordination, and execution of in-person VIP events across markets. These may include marquee sporting weekends, concerts, music festivals, entertainment residencies, and property-driven hospitality experiences. This role oversees a team of event professionals and ensures every event delivers a premium, on-brand Hard Rock experience.
You will own the end-to-end event lifecycle — from creative concepting and budgeting through execution and post-event evaluation — while working cross-functionally with VIP Marketing, Partnerships, Analytics, and Operations teams. The position requires frequent travel and hands-on leadership at large-scale, high-visibility events.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Ideation
Lead the creative ideation and strategic planning for VIP events tied to sports, entertainment, and hospitality tentpole moments.
Develop scalable event frameworks that align with VIP engagement goals, market priorities, and brand standards.
Ensure all events reflect Hard Rock Digital’s premium hospitality and entertainment-driven identity.
Event Planning & Execution
Oversee the end-to-end execution of VIP events, including venue selection, timelines, budgets, staffing, logistics, and on-site operations.
Manage large-scale events with high guest counts, complex logistics, and multiple stakeholders.
Travel to event locations to provide on-site leadership and execution support.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and manage a team responsible for VIP event planning and execution.
Set clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards for the events team.
Foster a collaborative, detail-oriented, and guest-first culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with VIP Marketing, VIP Analytics, VIP Coding, Partnerships, and Operations to align event strategy with player engagement and business objectives.
Collaborate with Account Managers and VIP Hosts to support guest selection, invitations, and follow-up strategies.
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage vendor relationships including venues, production partners, entertainment, and hospitality providers.
Own event budgets, contract negotiations, and financial reconciliation.
Ensure cost efficiency while delivering high-impact VIP experiences.
Measurement & Optimization
Partner with analytics teams to evaluate event performance and ROI.
Gather post-event feedback and insights to continuously improve future events.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate is a seasoned events leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-visibility environments and understands how to deliver premium experiences at scale.
You’ll succeed if you:
Have 5–7+ years of experience in event management, promotions, or experiential marketing.
Have managed large-scale, in-person events with complex logistics and high-value guests.
Bring experience from sports, gaming, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
Have prior people-management experience and enjoy leading teams.
Are highly organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented.
Are comfortable with frequent travel and on-site event leadership.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
