St. Luke’s School, a secular (non-religious), college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12, seeks a full time Band Teacher to direct our 6th, 7th, 8th, and high school bands as well as direct the pit orchestra for our Upper School musical annually. A successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly experienced Performing Arts Department composed of a choir teacher, a digital music teacher, and two theater teachers. This team combines technical expertise, creative vision, and a passion for working with young people and cultivating the arts in their lives. The Band program concludes each semester with a well-attended evening concert, a signature event in the life of the school. The Performing Arts Department is grounded in the St. Luke’s Educator Competencies which form the foundation of all teachers’ professional work at the school, and the school’s Strategic Plan provides overall direction.
