Main Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of data platforms, especially the open-source .Stat Suite platform products
- Collect, analyse and identify user’s behavioural patterns through usability tests, users surveys/feedback and analytics, research how users engage with the products to understand user requirements and draft functional specifications that align with the organisation's overall business objectives;
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess user satisfaction and product quality in terms of functions, accessibility, performance, scalability and security;
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and training material.
- DevSecOps process
- Oversee, coordinate and continuously improve the lean/agile development process with the developers ensuring the successful and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions;
- Lead stand-up sessions and liaise between product managers and solution developers;
- Perform quality assurance testing to ensure the correct functioning of the products, incl. accessibility, contribute to develop related automated tests, and define acceptance criteria;
- Contribute to implement innovative and efficient methods of working individually and as a team;
- Communication and Collaboration
- Contribute to setting up collaboration frameworks and best practices with SIS-CC members;
- Inform stakeholders of product updates and enhancements;
- Animate or participate in developer meetings, architecture meetings and user research meetings;
- Support community members on functional questions and contribute to continuous capacity building amongst them;
- Provide regular reporting as required;
- Share knowledge with peers as appropriate and work in close collaboration with other teams in EXD and across the Organisation.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic Background
- An advanced university degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, business administration, social science or in a related field.
Professional Background
- A minimum of 3 years' in-depth professional experience in designing and maintaining high-quality digital solutions with Lean or Agile methodologies and effectively liaising between software users and data and technology experts.
- Experience at a National Statistical Institute, National Central Bank, International Organisation, or research institute would be desirable.
Tools
- Excellent experience is required with the DevSecOps platform GitLab or GitHub and its issue, epic, board, milestone, pipeline, runner, dashboard and analytics management tools.
- Familiarity with Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) standard with a commitment to reach a good working knowledge would be a strong advantage.
- Good experience working with analytical tools and key indicator dashboards, such as Google Analytics, PowerBi and Grafana, and Docker image management tools, e.g., Docker Hub and Docker Scout, would be highly desirable.
- Working practice of tools for web browser and API debugging and for automated testing, such as Postman, as well as understanding basic concepts of modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, .Net), of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and of deployment technologies, like ClickOnce or Container-based deployments, would be an advantage.

Languages
- Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other.

- Depending on level of experience, monthly salary starts at 6,008.38 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
