Summary
The Product Manager, Platforms, Connectors & Marketplaces (Konera), is part of the Network APIs product management team and reports to the Product Director, Network APIs (Konera).
This role is responsible for driving the exposure, distribution, and monetization of Proximus Global’s aggregated Network APIs through third-party platforms, marketplaces, and ecosystem integrations (e.g., hyperscalers, CPaaS, enterprise platforms).
Operating at the core of Proximus Global’s API aggregation and marketplace strategy, this role focuses on building and scaling connectors that embed APIs into customer workflows and partner ecosystems, enabling indirect consumption at scale.
While other Product Managers (e.g., TS43 ESaaS) focus on API capability creation and supply aggregation, this role acts as the distribution and marketplace enablement engine, ensuring these APIs are discoverable, consumable, and monetized through the Proximus Global API Marketplace and external ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Lifecycle Management (Connectors & Marketplace Integrations)
- Own the vision, Own the full lifecycle of API connectors and marketplace integrations, from concept to launch and scaling
- Define connector strategy aligned with the API aggregation model and marketplace priorities
- Identify and prioritize connectors by industry verticals (e.g., BFSI, Media, Logistics) and use cases
- Define product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for connectors as key enablers of API marketplace distribution
- Ensure connectors are aligned with aggregated API capabilities delivered across the Network API portfolio
Strategy Execution & Ecosystem Development
- Translate the Network API and aggregation strategy (defined by the Product Director) into scalable distribution and marketplace models
- Contribute to shaping the Proximus Global API Marketplace, ensuring APIs are effectively packaged, exposed, and consumed via partners
- Define target partner segments (platforms, marketplaces, hyperscalers, aggregators) and integration priorities
- Build a clear view of demand channels and how aggregated APIs are consumed indirectly through ecosystems
- Act as the bridge between API supply (aggregation) and demand (marketplace & channels)
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other Product Managers (e.g., TS43 ESaaS) to ensure their APIs are effectively exposed through connectors and marketplace channels
- Act as a distribution and marketplace expert, guiding product teams on channel requirements and partner expectations
- Collaborate with Partnerships and Key Account teams to onboard ecosystem partners and drive demand
- Work with Engineering and Product Owners to prioritize integrations aligned with marketplace needs
- Coordinate with Legal and Procurement to establish partner agreements and marketplace frameworks
- Support Protect and Engage distribution channels in executing enterprise GTM strategies
Go-to-Market & Commercialization
- Define and support go-to-market strategies for connectors and marketplace exposure, including pricing, packaging, and positioning
- Enable indirect monetization by embedding APIs into partner ecosystems and workflows
- Support the development of API marketplace offerings, including onboarding, discoverability, and consumption models
- Contribute to partner enablement (documentation, onboarding flows, commercial frameworks)
- Represent Proximus Global in ecosystem and marketplace-related industry engagements
Operational Execution & Delivery
- Define and execute delivery plans for connectors and integrations, ensuring timely and high-quality releases
- Ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey across marketplace and partner channels (integration, onboarding, usage, support)
- Coordinate internal resources to support scalable partner integrations
- Monitor adoption, usage, and revenue performance of connectors and marketplace channels, optimizing based on KPIs
Innovation & Technology
- Stay up to date with trends in API marketplaces, platform ecosystems, and aggregation models
- Benchmark competitors and identify new opportunities for ecosystem-driven growth
- Explore new integration approaches (e.g., plug-ins, embedded APIs, low-code/no-code ecosystems)
- Leverage AI to improve API discoverability, partner integration, and consumption
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in APIs, platforms, marketplaces, or telecom/digital ecosystems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Strong understanding of API ecosystems, aggregation models, and developer platforms
- Good understanding of platform/marketplace dynamics and ecosystem-driven business models (e.g., hyperscalers, CPaaS, integrations connectors and plugins into the 3rd party ecosystem )
- Knowledge of platform integration models (connectors, plug-ins, embedded APIs)
- Ability to understand how raw APIs are exposed, integrated, and consumed via connectors and third-party platforms
- Proven ability to define product strategy, roadmap, and value proposition, and translate them into execution
- Experience with Go-to-Market activities, including pricing, packaging, positioning, and partner enablement
- Experience working with partners and ecosystems, managing both technical and commercial trade-offs
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Partnerships, Commercial)
- Strong analytical mindset, with ability to track KPIs and optimize product performance
- Awareness of telco APIs and network capabilities is a plus
