Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog aligned with business objectives and customer value.
- Work with agile teams across the full lifecycle (discovery, refinement, sprint planning, execution, review, and retrospective).
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into well-structured Epics and User Stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Ensure backlog items meet Definition of Ready standards before sprint planning.
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and support sprint planning with well-prepared stories.
- Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Proactively manage stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and expectation alignment.
- Collaborate closely with Tech Leads, QA, and Delivery Managers to ensure feasibility, technical alignment, and quality.
- Support product visioning, roadmap alignment, and incremental value delivery.
- Ensure traceability from business goals to delivered features.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback loops from sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Enable teams to make informed decisions autonomously by providing structured, timely information.
Requirements
Required
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, IT Business Analyst, or similar role in software development environments.
- Proven experience working within agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into structured requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
- Experience defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting QA/testing validation.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Nice to Have
- Experience working in medium to large-scale software implementations.
- Exposure to scaled agile environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar.
- Agile certifications (CSPO, PSPO, PMI-PBA, etc.)
