Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Project Management Specialist I, who will oversee projects of a smaller scale with a focus on leading or assisting in planning, implementing, and communicating project commitments with sponsors, stakeholders, and management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
o Manage projects from start to finish.
o Aid in ensuring project results meet expectations.
o Assist in setting project missions, goals, and tasks.
o Support resolving conflicts within projects.
o Help track project progress and suggest improvements.
o Assist in assembling and supporting project staff.
o Work with different departments to solve problems.
o Adhere to RCU’s project management guidelines.
o Help prepare reports on plans, problems, and solutions.
o Assist in involving stakeholders in project activities.
o Support creating a positive team environment; help maintain good working relationships through regular communication.
o Ensure project updates are shared with the team and stakeholders.
o Assist in managing delicate situations.
o Help prioritize tasks and anticipate potential issues.
o Assist in setting and communicating project deadlines.
o Support making timely decisions to keep projects on track.
o Suggest improvements to workflows and processes.
Project Support:
o Support project owners in development of project plans and milestones.
o Follow up with project owners to ensure all projects are on schedule and completed on time.
o Ensure project owners develop communication plans and execute on them prior to project roll-out.
o Recommend improved processes to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project planning across the organization.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to operate a PC with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Smartsheet software with Internet/intranet access.
Basic knowledge of financial services, credit union industry regulations, terminology, and procedures with ability to understand implications of credit union laws.
Possess organization, research, analytical and planning skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative and be resourceful.
Ability to document information clearly, accurately, and completely.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
Working knowledge and understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools in the areas of initiation, design, implementation and close.
Licenses and Certifications
Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years project management experience.
Compensation: Base starting range: $42.00 to $55.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, reach overhead, twist, and turn.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

• Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
