About the role:

As a SDET, you’ll support two key charters within HHIP – the technological heart of our company that powers the core systems behind our insurance business. HHIP teams build and support the platforms, services, and tools that enable key insurance processes and help different parts of the organization operate effectively.

This role is for someone who enjoys understanding how complex systems really work. You’ll collaborate with Engineers and product teams, helping ensure that the logic, integrations, and workflows behind our products are reliable and well-tested. Even small changes in these systems can have a significant impact, so they need to be validated carefully and thoughtfully.

What will you do?

You'll be working with our team of experienced QAs, developers, and product managers to make sure everything we deliver is absolutely top quality. Your help will be invaluable when their yellow duck can't hack it. :)

You’ll improve our existing automation, QA processes, and best practices by working closely with different stakeholders.

You’ll take ownership of all automation needs within one of our key Business Units, covering mostly backend, but a little frontend as well.

You’ll automate new features to ensure proper coverage and support go-live with high quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving existing automation tests and expanding them as needed.

You'll have huge creative freedom and the ability to influence the project, so you can make your mark right away.

You’ll collaborate with your friends both from Poland and the United States.

We might be a match if you…

Have at least 3 years of experience in automation testing for both frontend and backend platforms.

Know your way around JavaScript / TypeScript, and feel comfortable working with them.

Are an expert in automation best practices, coding standards, Git, GitHub, and the PR process.

Have hands-on experience with Playwright.

Are more than familiar with integration, end-to-end, and API automation tests.

Have experience in writing SQL queries along with data consistency and integrity in relational databases.

Are familiar with developer oriented CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.

Are an independent problem solver, but also an excellent team player.

Pay attention to details, can handle automating complex features, and aren't afraid to speak up when something needs improvement.

Have a great command of English (written & spoken) and at least basic of Polish.

Are available in the afternoons – we prioritize everyone’s personal time and work-life fit, but since we work in multinational teams, occasional evening meetings may be necessary to ensure smooth communication across time zones.

You will get extra points for:

Experience working in a product company, ideally a startup/scale-up.

Creativity and innovation in automation for any given area.

Experience with Jira and agile testing methodologies.

Familiarity with Docker (building images, running and debugging containers).

Experience with test case management tools, preferably XRay.
