What you’ll do
- Conduct research to develop new functionalities and improve existing technologies for real-time video processing.
- Publish patents and peer-reviewed papers in top computer vision, audio, and speech conferences.
- Collaborate with other research engineers and contribute to regular research reviews and code reviews.
- Design, implement, and evaluate algorithms related to video processing and meeting analytics.
- Help deploy research models and tools in partnership with engineering teams.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide insights based on research findings.

Your skill-set
- PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Deep Learning, ideally in computer vision, face recognition, deepfake detection, audio processing, or general machine learning.
- Experience with real-time video processing and data acquisition, as well as preparation for such tasks.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++. Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch. Preferably experience with Go, TF-Lite, and TF-Micro.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain research packages to train and test ML models.
- Ability to publish patents and peer-reviewed papers in top computer vision, audio and speech, and conferences.
- Competence in maintaining internal research models and packages, ensuring reproducibility and computational efficiency.
- Collaboration skills to partner with engineering teams on deploying research models and tools.

Within 30 days, you’ll
- Understand Pindrop as a product and the deepfake technology space. Dive into your role and understand how your success will be measured.
- Get acclimated to your surroundings and your team, including meeting with your onboarding buddy and key department members.
- Read through the Pindrop Lexicon to familiarize yourself with company terms and complete any required role-based training.
- Be introduced to your team and colleagues and added to any standing meetings such as 1:1’s, standups, and weekly touchpoints.
- Complete onboarding and attend New Employee Orientation sessions with other new Pindroppers.
Within 60 days, you’ll
- Accomplish some quick wins and start adding value, particularly within your immediate responsibilities.
- Establish relationships with key partners for continued collaboration and build your Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the next quarter.
- Understand expectations for the team and be able to start planning for development and contributing to projects.
- Start a research project agreed upon with your direct manager.
Within 90 days, you’ll
- Schedule and complete a 90-day check-in with your manager to discuss wins, blockers, and next steps.
- Have an intermediate level of familiarity with the products and corresponding research initiatives.
- Start executing against the research roadmap and contribute significantly to team objectives.

Pindrop considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills, as well as market and business considerations, when extending an offer.
US Base Pay Range
$150,000—$175,000 USD
