We are looking for a highly driven Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at FlyAkeed. This role will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations, ensuring strong financial control, revenue accuracy, and continuous improvement of accounting processes in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure financial integrity.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and key financial metrics.
- Support the budgeting process and provide in-depth financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local financial regulations.
- Assist in audit preparations, liaising with auditors to provide required documentation and explanations.
- Manage, mentor, and train junior accounting staff to maintain high standards of financial practice.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial commentary and insights.
- Utilize financial modeling and analytical techniques to support corporate finance strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation (FM&V) certification is essential.
- CPA/CMA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and revenue recognition standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and financial control.
