About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Research. We are looking for a dynamic professional with established skills in social or health sciences research.
This exciting role in the Walk Free team will involve conducting research on the scale, nature, and responses to modern slavery around the world and translating evidence into advocacy targeting government, the private sector, investors, and faith leaders. This role will have an emphasis on quantitative analysis including of nationally representative survey data.
This role will require you to:
• Conduct research into the scale, nature, and legislative and policy responses to modern slavery, in specific regions or thematic areas. This includes but is not limited to:
- cleaning and analysing survey data, including reshaping and weighting
- conducting tests of association
- using data reduction techniques
- visualising data in a way that can be easily understood by a variety of audiences.
- data collection, including through interviews and desk-based reviews of publicly available information
• Project manage research projects, including engaging with external stakeholders.
• Provide supervision and technical direction to Walk Free projects and other team members.
• Produce advocacy resources for diverse audiences.
• Represent Walk Free at various forums.
About You
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data and provide insights and recommendations based on results. We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in conducting research and managing research projects, as well as experience working in a fast paced environment.
