Position Overview:
Ibility is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Testing Analyst to support the implementation of Momentum for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience supporting Momentum and Financial Reporting testing and implementation activities in large ERP programs for a federal agency.
The Senior BI Testing Analyst will support the BI Test Lead and the program by performing testing activities for an implementation release as part of the overall program. The Senior BI Testing Analyst will oversee BI regression strategy, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation, and data quality assessments. The senior analyst will demonstrate advanced BI technical depth including understanding validation measures, aggregations, performance, and semantic model alignment.
The senior analyst will partner with multiple technical vendors and client staff to ensure comprehensive testing and reporting across each deployment wave. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can work independently and as a part of a team and has experience in taking ownership of work assignments and project schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the BI Test Lead and government client in planning, training, and testing of reporting and data extracts for the financial system and coordinate with other vendors on testing to adjudicate, resolve, and close issues Review and update existing testing plan for the BI components of each implementation release including BI regression strategy, data quality assessments, and UAT preparation and readiness Develop system test scripts for key reports in that implementation release, including the use of automated testing tools; automated testing must account for at least 50% of BI scripts Ensure coordination across client and vendor partners for BI architecture validation including but not limited to the System Integrator, Data Layer, and Reporting teams Oversee and develop junior BI testers Maintain and prioritize a testing defect log that will be shared with the government client and other vendors to track testing progressSupport BI and reporting components of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) trainingMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Minimum 8 years of experience supporting Momentum and/or Power BI Financial Reporting implementation activities at a large federal agencyMinimum of 4 years supporting Momentum Financials or other ERP systemMinimum of 4 years of related experience executing test scripts, documenting test results, and identifying issues within Momentum Financials or equivalent ERP system Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end process of developing and executing BI testing including BI regression strategy, UAT, data quality assessments, semantic model alignment, and validation and aggregation measures Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools for Power BI and other reporting tool Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environmentAbility to obtain a Public Trust clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Department of Veterans AffairsExperience with Agility for testing
