If you could spend your time doing something truly meaningful, chances are you’d choose work that could change people's lives for the better. At Tava Health, that's exactly what we do every day. Tava Health is a Series B startup, focused on scaling access to behavioral healthcare. We make meaningful connections between providers and clients accessible and easy by partnering with organizations to bring high-quality mental health care to their employees, members, and communities.
We’re looking for a proactive, thoughtful, and skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our small but growing Analytics function at Tava. You will be part of a high impact team that manages data and delivers reporting across every part of the company. You will be asked to think deeply about how to give each function at the company access to and gain actionable insights from our data.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who proactively identifies reporting deficiencies, scopes strategic solutions, and delivers high-value, actionable insights.
Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities, and promote data best practices across the organization
Assist in data governance such as deprecating outdated or redundant reports and dashboards, and addressing schema or data source changes before they break reporting
Produce high-quality analyses and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations tailored to different audiences
Create analyses, metrics, and actionable deliverables for Tava leadership to assess business performance, and recommend actions to drive growth and efficiency
Analyze clinical data to identify insights that will guide our interactions with clients and therapists
Work alongside the team to meet critical priorities and ensure timely, accurate outputs.
Enable a culture of broad access to readily-available data
Work cross-functionally to organize and analyze internal data across all departments
Participate in the strategic planning process and provide insights/ideas for process improvement
Challenge assumptions to ensure we’re answering the right questions.
Communicate trade-offs, timelines, and limitations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training, in quantitative or technical fields (Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) A Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Experience managing BI/analytics tools (Metabase preferred)
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills — able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to influence strategy through data — getting to the “so what” and driving changes that generate measurable business impact.
Experience working in healthcare and/or startup environments.
Experience using dbt.
Experience building intuitive data marts, semantic layers, or source of truth tables.
Proficiency in R, Python, or related programming language
Experience with predictive modeling
Proven acceleration of analytic output and quality by using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
Competitive salary and stock options (so you share in the company’s success).
Fully-covered medical and dental premiums for you and your family, plus voluntary insurance options.
Free, generous Tava mental health benefit — of course!
Monthly HSA contributions for qualifying enrolled employees.
Generous PTO and paid holidays.
Paid parental leave.
401(k) retirement plan.
Weekly company-paid lunch via DoorDash and a personal DashPass subscription.
Opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a high-growth, mission-driven company.
Actual title and compensation are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
