Senior ECC Veterinary Nurse | CARE, Collingwood

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse with substantial experience in Emergency and Critical Care nursing - additional qualifications preferred but not essential. You need to be clinically confident, calm under pressure, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of patient care, mentor junior nurses, and contribute to clinical decision-making, with ongoing opportunities to continue expanding your own advanced ECC skillset.

This role will see you:

• Delivering a high standard of holistic nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, from triage through their entire CARE journey
• Acting as a senior clinical resource during shifts, supporting both nursing and veterinary teams
• Mentoring and guiding less experienced nurses to build confidence, skills, and clinical judgement
• Management  of day flow to ensure productivity across the hospital
• Assisting with anaesthesia, advanced procedures, and surgery
• In-house laboratory testing, complemented by advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound, endoscopy and CT
• Undertake specific front-desk duties outside of normal reception hours and provide clear, compassionate support to clients via telephone
