Senior Estimator (Piling/Excavation) - 107
OVERVIEW:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in driving this proactive approach by delivering highly accurate take-offs and cost analyses for complex piling and excavation projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute highly accurate and detailed "Take Offs" with ease for various groundworks, piling, and excavation projects.
- Develop comprehensive, competitive cost estimates for complex structural solutions, including bored piling, CFA piling, and specialized hand piling.
- Build and maintain robust, dynamic estimation models using advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential geotechnical complexities and integrate proactive solutions into the pricing structure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and trade partners to ensure a seamless transition from the estimation phase through site preparation and structural build.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as an Estimator in the construction sector with a strong background specifically within piling and excavation.
- Proven experience operating within the Australian (AU) construction market, with a strong grasp of local rates, standards, and methodologies.
- Exceptional, advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel (this is essential for the role's day-to-day operations).
PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):
- Experience using specialized takeoff and estimating software such as ConX and Mudshark.
- A combination of both deep piling/excavation technical expertise and extensive AU market experience.
