Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with 14+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps and platform engineering to design, build, and automate enterprise container and middleware platforms. The role involves architecting scalable solutions, supporting Kubernetes environments, and driving automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and highly available platform solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Manage Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift preferred; EKS/AKS/GKE acceptable).
- Implement and manage Service Mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform reliability.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement DevSecOps practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills:
- 14+ years of IT experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and containers (Docker/Podman).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Istio Service Mesh.
- Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Cloud experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure.
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Groovy, or PowerShell).
- Strong experience with Linux environments and networking concepts.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with IBM Event Streams, IBM MQ, or IBM App Connect.
- Knowledge of IBM CloudPak or WebSphere products.
