We are hiring for a small, high-level Python consultancy in the Netherlands, fully focused on technical depth and craftsmanship.

This is a deliberately small team of senior Python specialists. Flat structure. No corporate layers. Strong opinions. Real engineering standards.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll work on assignments where Python is the foundation of data-intensive and machine learning-driven solutions. This includes designing and building scalable data pipelines, developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments, and working on simulation, optimization, and predictive systems. You translate complex data challenges into robust technical architectures and take ownership of performance, maintainability, and reliability — not just experimentation.

Internally, you contribute to knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and the long-term evolution of the data and ML expertise within the team. You participate in meetups, hackathons, and conferences, and help shape engineering standards across projects.

Requirements

We are looking for Python specialists with strong experience in data-driven environments. You have at least 5 years of professional Python experience and have worked as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer in production contexts.

You have experience designing and building data pipelines and deploying machine learning models beyond proof-of-concept stage. You are comfortable working with libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, Keras, TensorFlow, and Airflow, and you understand tooling around data streaming and processing such as Kafka. Containerization with Docker is familiar territory.

You have experience with machine learning techniques such as decision trees, random forests, deep learning models, simulations, and optimization algorithms, and you understand what it means to run models reliably in production environments.

You work with testing as part of your engineering discipline, are comfortable in Agile or DevOps-driven teams with CI/CD pipelines, and have experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) is not new to you. You communicate comfortably in Dutch.
