Job Role: Senior Social Media Manager
Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $2500 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

The client is building a dominant hospitality lifestyle brand in Australia, spanning food, events, automotive culture, and community.
The ideal candidate is fast, strategic, creative, self-driven, and obsessed with high-performance social media.
Role Overview: This role is all about telling stories that people actually care about. You’ll take raw footage and turn it into scroll-stopping, high-retention content that connects emotionally and keeps audiences coming back for more. You don’t just think in single posts — you understand how to build repeatable content systems that grow over time and support real business goals.
You’re quick on your feet, comfortable experimenting, and always looking for ways to improve. Trends change fast, and so do you. Above all, you care about quality, move with purpose, and push the standard higher with every piece of content you create.
We are looking for a content leader who wants to build something big, visible, and respected.
You will own social media for:
– high-energy lifestyle venue (cars, bikes, food, events, culture)
– premium bakery & coffee brand (craft, ritual, aesthetics)
Two brands. Two voices. One dominant online presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Storytelling
- High-level short-form video editing (Reels / TikTok / Shorts)
- Turning raw footage into compelling narratives
- Writing captions that actually convert attention
- Creating scroll-stopping hooks
- Maintaining separate, distinct brand voices
- Organising and managing large content libraries
Strategy & Growth
- Weekly competitor and trend analysis
- Identifying what’s working globally and adapting it locally
- Proposing new content formats, angles, and campaigns
- Thinking beyond likes — into brand equity, awareness, and loyalty
Speed & Execution
- Fast turnaround times (same-day or next-day when required)
- Ability to handle high content volume without quality drop
- Scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
- Working to strict timelines around events and promotions
Community & Brand Management
- Professional, on-brand responses to comments and DMs
- Protecting the reputation of the business at all times
- Engaging the community authentically
Reporting & Accountability
- Weekly performance reporting
- Clear insights on what worked / didn’t work
- Data-driven recommendations
- Ownership of results, not excuses
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Expert short-form video editing (CapCut / Premiere / DaVinci)
- Strong written English
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook
- Proven experience with lifestyle / food / automotive content
- Ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously
- Reliable high-speed internet and professional equipment

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
