About the Role
As a Senior Supply Chain Coordinator, you will:
- Support and lead Supply Chain Coordinators to consistently meet and exceed service levels
- Provide specialist supply chain advice to departments across the Trust
- Manage stock levels using inventory management systems, ensuring availability and sourcing alternatives when required
- Oversee structured stock reviews and maintain accurate audit trails
- Support product standardisation and cost improvement initiatives
- Promote contract compliance and effective use of e-procurement systems
You will play a key role in ensuring supplies are available, where and when they are needed without compromising patient care.
Leadership & Team Development
- Allocate work and support staff development
- Train and mentor Supply Chain Coordinators
- Lead six monthly stock review meetings and implement recommendations
- Drive service excellence and continuous improvement
Operational Excellence
- Maintain optimum stock levels using inventory management systems
- Ensure accurate data entry and ordering within system deadlines
- Provide proactive communication regarding supply risks and alternatives
Strategic & Analytical Contribution
- Analyse complex supply chain data and provide informed recommendations
- Use negotiation and influencing skills to maximise cost effectiveness

Qualifications
Essential
- Education to GCSE or equivalent, including Mathematics and English NVQ Level 3 or CIPS Foundation Level
Desirable
- Training in moving and handling goods.
Experience
- Experience of working in a service industry
- Ability to communicate in written and oral English.
- Ability to operate a personal computer with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
- Ability to understand and work with financial, administrative and personnel processes and practices
