We are looking for an experienced Senior University & Career Counsellor (IBDP) to lead and manage career guidance, university admissions, and post-school planning for IBDP students (Grades 11–12). This role involves working closely with students, parents, faculty, and international university representatives to ensure smooth and successful transitions to higher education worldwide.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling to IBDP students on career exploration, subject selection, and long-term academic pathways
- Guide students through international university admissions processes across the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia
- Manage end-to-end college applications, including timelines, essays, documentation, and coordination of recommendations
- Conduct career assessments, aptitude tests, and student profile-building activities
- Plan and organize career fairs, university visits, information sessions, workshops, and parent orientations
- Advise students on appropriate IB subject combinations aligned with career and university goals
- Maintain accurate student records, counselling notes, and application tracking systems
- Stay current with IBDP policies, global admissions requirements, and higher education trends
- Mentor junior counsellors (where applicable) and contribute to strategic planning of guidance programs
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- 5–8+ years of experience in university guidance or career counselling, preferably in IBDP or international school settings
- Strong knowledge of the IBDP curriculum and global university admissions processes
- Proven experience working with students, parents, and international universities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
