Position Overview
We are seeking for an experienced professional to join our Back Office Team as a Settlements Officer.
By joining this role, you will be part of the unit who supports daily operations within the Securities Section of the Back Office Department, involving settlements, securities database management, corporate actions and discretionary asset management.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Authorizing transactions booked by peers as well as follow up on settlement confirmations.
- Contact custodians and transfer agents for reconciliation purposes or event clarifications.
- Handle Discretionary Portfolios: New investments, assets increase or decrease of existing portfolio, rebalancing
- Check and release miscellaneous reporting: internal, customers (i.e. mail) and regulators (i.e MIFIR).
- Monitor Suspense and Nostro accounts linked to Securities activity.
- Support other departments of the bank within the frame of the securities activity by handling/following up queries.
- Coordinate with the Treasury Section of Back-Office (TBO) and support any other tasks related to Securities within the team.
Requirements
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- You have good knowledge of Swift MT messages (MT 54X). MX message would be a plus
- Are an experienced user of MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Have excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Have good analytical and numerical skills, strong team working skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Are organized, with the ability to set priorities, work with tight deadlines and are detail oriented.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and deliver information in a clear, concise and comprehensive manner both with other departments but also outside the Bank, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
