The Role 

Crown Sydney is seeking an experienced full‑time Sous Chef to support the Chef de Cuisine in delivering exceptional In‑Room Dining experiences for guests staying at our iconic hotel. In this role, you will assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing day‑to‑day kitchen operations across a 24/7 service, ensuring every dish meets Crown’s high standards for quality, presentation, and timely service. You will lead and mentor a resolute culinary team, contribute to menu refinement, and help maintain a smooth, efficient service environment that reflects the standard expected of one of Sydney’s most recognisable hospitality destinations.

About You 

  • Experience in international cuisine is highly advantageous
  • Set a leading example and inspire a team of kitchen professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team in a face-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and satisfy internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
  • Relevant hospitality qualification in Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent.
