The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role combines responsibilities across general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working cross-functionally, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can contribute to multiple areas of the accounting function.

What You'll Do

General Ledger (GL) Accounting

Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.

Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) billing support, including managing collections and billing requests.

Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports.

Ensure proper coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies.

Manage vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare weekly payment runs and maintain AP aging reports.

Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end compliance requirements.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Assist in preparing financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.

Partner with external auditors during audits by providing requested materials.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2–4 years of accounting experience (mix of GL and AP preferred).

Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting practices.

Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification preferred
