The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role is responsible for maintaining general ledger activity, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The Staff Accountant will contribute to financial reporting, support audit activities, and help maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of US GAAP, solid analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
What you will do at VeSync:
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement changes.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Tax support - Sales tax, GST and filling 1099
What you bring to the role:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus.Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experienceSkills: Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP), proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite), strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
