As a Store Manager, you are responsible for leading the commercial performance and team development of the Osaka Umeda Hankyu store, ensuring operational excellence within a department store environment.
You will report directly to the Area Manager Japan & Korea.
Your main missions will include:
Being responsible for the store’s profitability by proactively monitoring sales performance and defining relevant action plans to drive growth
Representing the excellence of Polène and its products within the Osaka Umeda Hankyu Department Store
Analyzing store performance by product categories and reviewing individual team performance
Building a sales strategy to develop both local and international client loyalty while ensuring an exceptional customer experience
Identifying market opportunities to attract new clients and strengthen brand presence
Communicating and collaborating closely with headquarters teams on operational and strategic topics to maintain operational excellence
Overseeing stock management activities in collaboration with the stock team and ensuring efficient organization
Reviewing and optimizing in-store customer care processes, including repairs, warranties, returns, and exchanges, to maximize efficiency and satisfaction
Leading and developing a team composed of keyholders, sales advisors, stockists, and in-store visual merchandising support (approx. 10–15 people)
Creating a collaborative, positive, and harmonious working environment that reflects Maison Polène’s DNA
Identifying training needs and working closely with the Retail Excellence & Training Manager
Optimizing staff planning and scheduling to support business needs and peak activity
Recruiting, onboarding, and developing new team members
Motivating the team through inspiring and engaging daily briefings
Acting as an exemplary and enthusiastic leader
You have at least 6 years of significant experience managing teams within a premium or luxury retail environment
You demonstrate strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire
You possess strong commercial awareness, performance management capabilities, and organizational skills
You are able to work independently and make strategic decisions in a fast-growing environment
You have a genuine passion for leather goods, craftsmanship, and client experience
You foster a supportive and respectful team culture
You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
