Our Commercial Operations Group are a financial ‘supermarket’ offering our Co-op a pick n mix of solutions across commercial finance, store ownership, funding, financial planning & management, data analysis & reporting, accounting & transactional services including payroll, AR & AP & master data solutions.
Te Tūranga – About the role
We’re looking for two Store Office Support Specialists to be the go-to experts for our store office teams, you’ll tackle challenges, drive efficiency, and help shape the way we work.
As a key member of our team, you’ll provide proactive support across a range of office processes, including change of ownerships and operational improvements.
You’ll use data insights and analysis to identify opportunities for automation, process enhancements, and system improvements—helping our business run smarter and more efficiently.
We have two fixed term opportunities until 30 November 2026.
Key responsibilities are broad and will include:
· Incident Resolution: Respond to and resolve customer and member account queries promptly and professionally, ensuring an outstanding experience.
· Communication & Guidance: Provide proactive updates on emerging issues and deliver clear guidance to store teams.
· Process Optimisation: Analyse performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement improvements to office operational finance processes.
· Change Management: Support the rollout of new processes and technology, ensuring smooth adoption and compliance.
· Training & Coaching: Deliver targeted training and mentoring to store office teams on best practices and systems.
· Store Transitions: Assist with new store openings and change of ownerships, providing hands-on support and guidance throughout the process.
He kōrero mōu - About you
We’re looking for a skilled professional with experience in financial systems and a strong background in SAP. You’ll bring expertise in system implementation and change management, along with the ability to deliver software training to users with varying levels of technical knowledge. Your experience in corporate or ERP reporting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint will be key to your success.
In this role, you’ll apply your analytical and numerical skills to review and improve business processes, driving efficiency and accuracy across operations. A proactive approach to continuous improvement is essential, as you’ll identify opportunities to enhance ways of working and support the timely and accurate deployment of initiatives. Your strong commercial acumen and understanding of business will help you make informed decisions that deliver measurable results.
