Our Retail Operations and Transformation team maintain a strong focus on SAP support, in-store operations, and checkouts across all three retail banners. Monitoring a range of important metrics, the team are also involved in new store openings, ownership changes, and various business initiatives.
Te Tūranga – About the role
We’ll be extending our SAP deployment to 102 4Square stores to drive greater efficiency, automation, and consistency across operations, while continuing to support a tailored customer experience.
As a Retail Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in the successful deployment of SAP into existing Cheeky Charlie Four Square (4SQ) stores. You’ll work closely with store teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. With a strong operational lens, you’ll influence and support store owners and their teams in adopting best practice processes and fully leveraging the SAP system. You’ll be involved across all stages of deployment—from data and process readiness to go-live and business handover—ensuring stores are set up for long-term success. This role is fixed term until November 2026.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
· Influence and support store owners and their teams to adopt operational best practices during the SAP deployment.
· Promote consistent and effective use of SAP across all impacted areas of the business.
· Deliver assigned deployment activities efficiently, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
· Ensure operational readiness across all key areas including buying, inventory, pricing & promotions.
· Lead operations training, business briefings, and coordinate with broader deployment teams.
· Coach and support store teams in adopting new operational processes.
· Deliver training, assess competency levels, and proactively identify gaps before cutover.
· Execute key in-store deployment tasks, including setting up pricing, promotions, SAP locations, POS PLUs, SCO picklists, and stock counts.
· Provide on-the-ground support during the post-go-live phase.
· Support the Deployment Manager in transitioning stores to “Business as Usual” operations.

He kōrero mōu - About you
With a strong background in retail operations, with in-store experience highly valued, you’ll be results-oriented, with a clear focus on customer outcomes. You’ll also bring with you a proven track record in stakeholder management and relationship-building with a solid understanding of SAP in a retail setting.
You’ll also have:
· Great attention to detail and well-versed in process management.
· Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting partnerships.
· Experience in project management and working within structured deployment frameworks.
· Prior involvement in SAP deployments is a definite advantage.
