We are seeking for a Tax Manager with expertise in international taxation, finance, and a strong understanding of how trading businesses operate. This role is critical to ensuring day-to-day tax compliance while proactively shaping tax strategy for our group entities in multiple jurisdictions, including the USA, UAE, Switzerland, the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can go beyond writing tax memos: you'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Business Operations, and trading stakeholders to translate tax rules into workable operating models—especially when entering new markets or launching new initiatives. You'll help the business identify tax risks early and drive practical, legally compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance and Advisory: Own and manage tax compliance across key jurisdictions (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax), advise on tax implications of group-wide operations, and support UBO/personal tax coordination.
- Tax Planning and Optimization: Proactively identify and mitigate tax exposure and provide tax analysis and planning for income derived from financial instruments across multiple markets.
- Transfer Pricing: Implement and maintain transfer pricing policies aligned with international guidelines and the group's operating model, and support documentation and reporting requirements.
- Project-Based Tax Strategy: Assess and outline tax obligations and optimization options for new trading markets or business lines, partner with trading/risk stakeholders to evaluate how strategy design/qualification may impact tax outcomes, and analyze tax impacts of high-frequency trading operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in international tax / tax management supporting multinational groups.
- Experience advising on taxation related to financial services or trading activities; familiarity with securities, derivatives, and/or cryptocurrencies is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of international tax principles and cross-border considerations (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, double tax treaties, and BEPS/OECD transfer pricing concepts).
- Demonstrated ability to translate tax rules into practical, tax-efficient operating structures, including partnering with stakeholders to execute.
- Comfortable working hands-on with ongoing compliance requirements while supporting fast-moving, project-based initiatives.
Key Competencies
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset; able to spot risks early and raise actionable red flags.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a global perspective and changing priorities.
