This position is a working UET - Team Leader. This position will be required to work on the production line.
Team Leads are responsible for the entire production on their assigned shift, from beginning to end. The major responsibility of the Team Lead is to keep the production line moving at all times and become an expert for that particular line.
Identification of primary sources of variation and it's collaboration with support functions.
Lead and encourage the UET members to follow the standards, to achieve KPIs and improve performance.
Train the UET members according to the multiskilled matrix target defined by the supervisor.
- Follow and comply with Quality and Environmental Policy Manuals, Management system Procedures, Functional instructions, Process documentation and other requirements.
- Respect and improve the UET Leader routine.
- Support AIS implementation
- Continuously monitor and observe operations, working stations, equipment performance, material flow throughout the shift and notify supervisor and request involvement from supporting departments (engineering, quality, maintenance, etc.) when needed (deviations, downtimes, any symptoms of potential issues).
- Take responsibility for working safety on the line, at each working station, implementation of safety rules, including usage of safety equipment by personnel.
- Report any unsafe conditions to their supervisor and to H&S responsible.
- Perform Safety audits.
- To know WI, DPD being able to perform on all workstations within the area of responsibility.
- Train the UET members based on ILUO matrix targets.
- Organize UET members on workstations positions according to the ILUO matrix.
- Leads and encourages UET’s to follow the standards and make proposals for improvement also using IDEA tool.
-Lead daily face to face start up meetings, KPI review with employees, lead Improvement Action plan, correct deviations and ensure targets achievements.
- Keep the UET members informed about the latest Engineering changes.
- Organize employees and assign tasks within their scope to be performed in the event of line stoppage and keep supervisor informed of any line problems or employee conflicts.
- Perform OPT audits.
- Attend UET shift change meetings
- To make sure availability of the production schedule.
- Hold employees in UET accountable to ensure compliance with a production schedule, tact times/hourly rates, and quality standards. Report hourly counts and scrap issues to supervisor promptly.
- Monitor compliance with the production schedule and communicate any deviations.
- To insure TPM1 is performed and ensure equipment readiness for production.
- Generate the Maintenance work order when an equipment breakdown occurs and record the downtime.
- Check and approve / sign first OK part
- Ensure line is supplied with raw materials and racking at the beginning of shift and throughout shift as needed based on the production schedule.
- Make sure compliance with scrap management procedure, including scrap identification, storage, declaration.
- Coordinate and conduct rework operations according to standards.
- Declare production results according to the procedures. Validate the correct completion of the production shift, including SAP accuracy, scanning transactions, traceability, downtime, labor, and scrap.
- Update UET indicators on the production board including KPI's results and corrective actions to reduce deviations and controllable downtime
- Participate in problem solving activities, including continuous improvement and multifunctional brainstorming meetings and workshops.
- Implement 5S according to Company procedures, conduct 5S audits, define and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce cleanliness at working stations and in designated areas per 5S principles and procedures.
- Escalate deviations according to Escalation policy/ procedure.
- Backup Supervisor's responsibilities as needed.
- In case of machine breakdown occurrence, inform and work with Process Technician immediately to resolve issue
- Managing Andon and Reaction Rules
- Meet with Supervisor to review UET performance of last week in terms of KPIs, check alignment of performance with action plans and with production line status
