Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and obstetric imaging.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
- Monitor patients during the ultrasound procedure, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Capture and analyze ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes and provide preliminary findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures according to established protocols.
- Ensure all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, reporting any issues as necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Educate patients and families about ultrasound procedures and potential outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) is highly preferred.
- Previous experience as an Ultrasound Specialist or in a similar diagnostic imaging role.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound technology, anatomy, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
