Role Description
The VP of Finance will have oversight and accountability for Atlas Oncology Partners’ financial operations. Specifically, this leader will be tasked with building financial infrastructure as Atlas scales including developing robust reporting, partnering with operations and management teams to identify and track KPIs, and board level presentations. This executive will build and manage a high-performing team, provide directives for financial strategy, and advise the Executive team on fiscal solutions that will contribute to achieving short and long-term goals for the organization. The VP of Finance will provide leadership to the finance function and partner closely with Rubicon Founders, investors, and physician partners to ensure financial solutions are sound.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Develop standardized financial infrastructure and processes for Atlas, enabling consistent performance across all markets and functions.
Assess and evaluate the financial performance of long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations on both short-term and long-term growth plans.
Create financial and decision-making models to inform business decisions.
Deliver clear and accurate financial reporting to the Executive Team and Board on the financial health of the organization, including drivers of forecast variances, deep business insights, and current and future risks/ opportunities.
Build a world-class finance organization by hiring, inspiring, and leading a strong and diverse team. Coach and develop the team to meet business priorities and goals.
Champion a dynamic growth culture by driving revenue, profitability, and initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Candidate Qualifications
> 5 years' experience in a high-growth healthcare environment, ideally within an early-stage business
Demonstrated, and others will attest to, a high degree of executive presence with an ability to effectively communicate complex financial models to a wide variety of audiences
Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with an ability to map innovative solutions to complex scenarios
Strong business sense and strategic mindset; capable of both partnering with the Board/investors and management team on key issues, while simultaneously being a hands-on leader in an early-stage business
Expertise in Medicare Advantage and commercial plans, particularly related to entering new markets
Experience within full risk-bearing models or risk-sharing payer-provider models and exposure to negotiating risk-based contracts preferred
Established track record of hiring and developing top talent and being a strong leader and collaborative colleague, helping a team reach their highest potential
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent; MBA and/or CPA desirable
