What you’ll be doing:
The Account Director builds and grows strategic partnerships across OEMs, Enterprise clients, Aftermarket businesses, and key Dealer Groups. Reporting to the State Manager, this role focuses on senior‑level relationship management, delivering tailored solutions that drive revenue growth, maximise ROI, and position carsales as a trusted strategic partner across the full customer ecosystem.
You’ll leverage deep client insight and strong industry knowledge to deliver best‑practice advice, increase solution adoption across dealer networks, and strengthen carsales’ market leadership through enterprise‑level solution selling and thought leadership.
- Manage a high‑value national portfolio of OEM, Enterprise, and Dealer Group accounts.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximise product adoption.
- Build and maintain senior, multi‑tier stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador.
- Identify and deliver strategic growth opportunities, ensuring seamless execution.
- Present data‑driven insights including ROI, market trends, performance, and SWOT analysis.
- Tailor account strategies aligned to each client’s business objectives.
- Drive retention, renewals, expansions, and upsell opportunities.
- Partner cross‑functionally to ensure aligned execution and strong client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and reporting in CRM systems.
- Stay across industry trends and competitive dynamics to anticipate client needs.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in enterprise or key account management, strategic sales, or business development, with a strong track record of exceeding growth targets.
- Solid experience with digital solutions and digital media, with a clear solution‑selling mindset.
- Exceptional ability to build and influence senior, multi‑level stakeholder relationships, including C‑suite, across OEMs, F&I, Aftermarket and large Dealer Groups.
- Strong commercial acumen with confident negotiation and deal‑closing capability, balancing sales outcomes with long‑term relationships.
- Clear and compelling written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation ability.
- A proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail, organisation, and follow‑through.
- Tech‑savvy and quick to learn new systems, including CRM platforms such as Salesforce, with a good understanding of the media and advertising landscape.
- Existing relationships within our key client verticals – including OEMs, F&I, Aftermarket, and large Dealer Groups – are highly valued.
