Assistant Broker

The main responsibility of the Assistant Broker is to support the broking team in the placement and administration of reinsurance risks within Mauritius, Madagascar and Seychelles.

MAIN DUTIES

• Assist in the placement of risks with insurers and reinsurers 

• Prepare and issue of Cover Notes, Slips and related documentation 

• Liaise with Cedants, Reinsurers and internal departments 

• Maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding documentation 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Degree holder 
• Up to 2 years experience in insurance and reinsurance would be an advantage  

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES 

• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and French 
• Pro-active and solution-oriented mindset 
• Ability to integrate well within the team 
• Good knowledge of MS Office such as Word Excel
