About GameChanger:
At GameChanger, we help the youth sports community Live the Game Like Never Before.
We believe youth sports change lives — on and off the field — and we're building the home of youth sports to support every coach, athlete, family member, and fan along the way. Every product decision we make is designed to elevate the next generation through sports.
We are a remote-first, dynamic technology company based in New York City solving meaningful challenges across youth sports — and this summer, we're bringing together a highly intentional cohort of interns to help build what's next.
About the Internship Program:
Our Summer 2026 Internship Program is a 10-week, fully onsite experience in NYC (June 1–August 7, 2026). This is not a shadowing program. As a GameChanger intern, you'll:
Work on real, high-impact projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Be paired with a dedicated mentor
Build and ship meaningful work
Present your results during our Final Demo Day
We've intentionally designed a smaller cohort (12 interns) to provide strong mentorship, meaningful ownership, and real exposure to how we build and ship at scale.
The Position:
GameChanger is looking for a Business Strategy Intern to support our Emerging Sports team during Summer 2026. This internship will focus on a high-impact market assessment tied directly to GameChanger's goal of expanding into new sports communities. You will analyze opportunities in flag football, volleyball, and soccer, evaluating market potential, competitive dynamics, and monetization pathways. You will report to the Senior Manager, Emerging Sports Operations and GM, Emerging Sports and gain meaningful exposure to strategic decision-making in a scaling technology company.
What You'll Work On:
You'll take ownership of a clearly scoped, high-impact strategic market assessment. This assessment will provide recommendations for entry into flag football, volleyball, and soccer which ties directly to GameChanger's company goal of growing emerging sports communities.
Lead a structured market assessment evaluating entry into select emerging sports (e.g., flag football, volleyball, soccer).
Analyze industry trends, participation data, competitive landscapes, and monetization models to assess long-term growth potential.
Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders across Product, Brand, Business Development, and Finance to understand feasibility and operational considerations.
Build financial models and structured frameworks to evaluate opportunity sizing and strategic tradeoffs.
Develop a clear, executive-ready recommendation backed by data and strategic reasoning.
Contribute to a repeatable roadmap framework for assessing future emerging sports opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
Currently pursuing an MBA (preferred) or undergraduate degree in Strategy, Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Business, or Sports Management.
Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, or opportunity sizing through coursework, internships, or prior roles.
Comfortable structuring ambiguous, open-ended problems into clear analytical frameworks.
Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; experience building decks and structured executive presentations.
Strong written communication skills with experience synthesizing analysis into clear recommendations.
Interest in youth sports, sports technology, or community-driven platforms.
Bonus points for:
Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, venture, or startup strategy.
Interest in youth sports, emerging sports ecosystems, and community-driven platforms
What You'll Gain:
10 weeks of hands-on experience on a product used by millions.
$50-60 per hour pay for your contributions.
Housing in Manhattan covered by GameChanger.
Round-trip travel to/from NYC covered.
A MacBook for the duration of the internship.
Mentorship from experienced leaders.
Exposure to executive leadership.
The opportunity to be considered for future full-time roles.
