Job Summary
- Responsible for supervising the cathodic protection activity and testing troubleshooting and Inspection activities, managing the inspection, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspection & receiving ICCP material for Storage Tanks.
- Coordinated with Client and Quality Team for CP inspections.
- Reviewed inspection & test plans for Cathodic Protection activities.
- Monitoring inspections of CP activities as per Client’s and Quality requirements.
- Monitoring installation of anode grid & spot welding for tank bottom external ICCP.
- Evaluated ICCP & SACP design packages for tank internals & external CP Systems.
- Prepare redlines drawings and method statements
- Supervise installation of junction boxes at CP stations
- Overseen installation of transformer rectifiers at CP stations
- Supervised spark gap connections at valve station isolation flanges
- Guided sub-contractor for the drilling and anode installation activities
- Collaboration with other departments to assist in activities related to CP.
- Assisting Commissioning team in Pre-Commissioning activities at ICCP Stations
- Verifying the integrity of isolation flanges at valve stations with inspection department
- Coordinating with design vendor and suggestion suitable changes as per site conditions.
- Monitoring CP team for installation of watering system for anode beds in non-sabkha area.
- Supervision zinc ribbon anode installations and splicing
- Supervision of all CP related activity as per Scope of work.
Discipline Specific
Shall demonstrate a thorough knowledge of codes such as the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), IPC, ASME 31.9, NFPA 13, 14, 20, 99, IBC, UFC and/or equivalent standards.
Shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of codes such as the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) codes Uniform Mechanical Code, ASME 31.9, NFPA 90A, ASHRAE Handbooks and/or equivalent standards.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Experience
The candidate shall have a university degree and a total of Six (6) years of experience in Supervision on cathodic protection activities. He have the experience in directly construction activities and also he involve in Cathodic protection testing, troubleshooting.
Certification
NACE CP2- Cathodic Protection Certified Technician.
