General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Responsible for development and implementation of the environmental management program on an assigned project under the direction of HSE Manager.
- Co-ordinate with ARAMCO Environmental Representative on environmental matters or issues.
- Co-ordinate with government entities on matters pertaining to environmental legal requirements.
- Provide advice, guidance, and such as may be needed in environmental incident prevention.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the site manager in the management and execution of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Ensure all site staffs are informed of any environmental requirements and changes to the EMP.
- Provide assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project environmental requirements and in addressing environmental issues as they arise during project execution,
- Develop environmental training programs.
- Establish and maintain an effective environmental administrative system.
- Arrange all necessary or required environmental training for all workers.
- Lead to conduct environmental site training, toolbox talks, and inductions.
- Prepare scopes of work and oversight of environmental subcontractors, and compiling environmental baseline information.
- Perform management and technical oversight of the onsite environmental officers and General office administration to ensure the efficient day to day functioning of the office.
- Draft Environmental Compliance Plans, Construction Environmental Control Plans, and other required project- specific environmental plans as required.
- Write sections in option studies relating to environmental, permitting and community aspects.
- Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures and plans.
- Close out all environmental non-conformances.
Qualifications
Education
- BS/BA in environment or health or relative field.
Experience
- A person with at least 8 to 10 years of experience in carrying out environmental and health-related work in the Aramco project.
- In environment control or construction as a supervisor
- Project based related experience ideally gained within the Oil and Gas industry or Petrochemical industry
- To develop Environment Management Program and Waste Management Program
- To develop total Environment Prevention Program including required training as project base
- To investigate and report about environmental accident such as Oil spillage, Soil contamination, Emission, Air pollution.
Knowledge
- Proven experience in environment management with compliance.
- In-dept understanding of Aramco environment and health procedures.
- Work and Staff management.
- Knowledgeable in Reports.
- Professional in environmental management.
- Excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Comprehensive
- Knowledge for International and Local standard and procedure.
- Specialized knowledge about local base environmental issues.
