General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
- Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
- Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
- Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing and performing inspection of PWHT activities.
- Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
- Prepare and/or review the Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
- Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
- Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing matrix).
- Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
- Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
- Ensure all the personnel employed and operating in PWHT activities is duly skilled and qualified in accordance with the applicable specifications, codes and regulations as per requirement of client.
- Monitor Pre-Heat, PWHT of welded joints and chart review of Post Weld Heat Treated (PWHT) joints.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience
- Total of seven (7) years of experience in inspection, if holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or a total of ten (10) years of experience in inspection, if holding a high school diploma.
- Three (3) years' experience of relating to supervision of construction activities in the Contract Scope of Work (e.g.; oil, gas and petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, communication).
Job Specific Specialty
- Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
