Chief of Staff (Energy Storage)
Role Responsibilities:
As VFT looks to grow its products and services in new geography, we are looking for a highly experienced detail-oriented and driven Chief of Staff to increase our footprint by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. As the Chief of Staff for an energy storage company, you will collaborate closely with the executive leadership to advance strategic initiatives and ensure operational excellence. You will function as a trusted advisor to the CEO and other senior executives, providing them with crucial support.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the energy storage industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 1. Strategic Management:
- Assist the CEO in devising and implementing strategic plans and initiatives for the organisation.
- Conduct research and analysis to determine growth opportunities, prospective risks, and the competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executable plans.
2. Operations Management:
- Supervise the daily operations of the company, ensuring their efficacy and efficiency.
- Streamline business processes and identify optimisation opportunities in order to boost operational performance.
- Monitor key operational metrics and provide the CEO and executive team with regular reports.
3. Coordination and Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between the chief executive officer and other departments to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Coordination of cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Prepare internal and external stakeholders with presentations, reports, and other materials.
4. Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage budgets, projections, and financial models in collaboration with the finance team.
- Analyse financial information and key performance indicators in order to provide recommendations.
- Providing financial analysis and business case development in support of fundraising efforts and strategic alliances.
Stakeholder Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.
- Represent the company in external meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Manage relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the energy storage industry or a related field.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated track record of driving results and achieving targets.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting.
- Knowledge of energy storage technologies, trends, and regulatory environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
