We’re looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development in Shenzhen, China. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing Innatera’s commercial presence in China, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, business development, and revenue growth. You will lead the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, and drive strategic initiatives to expand Innatera’s market reach in AI chips, consumer electronics, IoT, and other sectors.
We will trust you with:
Developing and executing a commercial strategy for China, aligning with Innatera’s global business objectives and preparing for future expansion into the wider Asia region;
Drive new business opportunities, focusing on high-impact customer engagements in consumer electronics, industrial, IoT, AI, and automotive sectors;
Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring strong pipeline development with key accounts in China;
Establish key partnerships with major sensor companies, system integrators, distributors, and device manufacturers across the region;
Engaging in business development activities, developing strategic GTM plans, and taking care of RFPs and RFIs specific to local market needs;
Negotiating and structuring deals, ensuring long-term customer relationships and revenue growth while navigating diverse business practices;
Representing Innatera at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, strengthening our brand presence in the Chinese market;
Collaborating with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product) to align commercial efforts with technical and product roadmaps, bridging the gap between regional customer requirements and HQ;
Working closely with executive leadership to refine sales strategies, define KPIs, and achieve revenue targets.
What will you need to succeed:
We’re looking for a hunter - resilient, persistent, and proactive in driving sales in new markets;
Native-level fluency in Mandarin and professional fluency in English;
Ability to work independently in a remote, high-growth startup environment;
Willingness to travel frequently, specifically requiring regular travel between China and Taiwan;
Prior experience working in startup environments or establishing new regional operations;
Knowledge of the consumer electronics supply chains and key industry players in China;
Proven experience in sales and business development within the semiconductor industry in the region (AI chips, IoT, consumer electronics, industrial applications);
Strong background in selling chips and solutions to large consumer electronics markets and the semiconductor/ODM ecosystem;
Deep understanding of the AI ecosystem, edge AI, and embedded AI applications;
Strong ethical decision-making and ability to act in the best interest of both the company and customers;
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles across different cultural contexts;
Demonstrated experience in building commercial partnerships and managing high-value enterprise customers;
Experience with business expansion strategies in new regions and managing local distribution channels;
A technical background and/or strong understanding of AI chips, neuromorphic computing, or related technologies is a big plus!

开展业务拓展活动,制定战略性市场进入 (GTM) 计划,并负责处理符合本地市场需求的 RFP 和 RFI;
负责交易架构的设计与谈判,在适应本地商业环境的同时,确保长期的客户关系和公司收入增长;
代表 Innatera 参加行业峰会、论坛和展会,提升品牌在大中国区市场的影响力;
与总部工程、市场及产品团队紧密协作,将大中国区的需求反馈至总部,确保商业落地与技术路线图相匹配;
与总部高管层密切配合,优化销售策略,设定关键绩效指标 (KPI),并确保收入目标的达成。
任职资格:
具备极强的市场开拓精神,坚韧、执着且主动,善于在全新市场中通过冷启动获取业务;
母语级别的普通话能力,以及流利的商务英语沟通能力(作为工作语言);
拥有在半导体行业(AI 芯片、IoT、消费电子、工业应用)的销售与业务拓展成功经验;
在大型消费电子市场及半导体/ODM 生态系统中拥有深厚的背景和人脉资源;
深刻理解 AI 生态系统、边缘 AI (Edge AI) 和嵌入式 AI 应用;
具备在初创企业 (Startup) 工作或从零建立区域业务运营的经验,能够在远程、高增长的环境中独立开展工作;
能够适应高频率出差,特别是需要定期往返于中国大陆和台湾之间;
熟悉大中国区消费电子供应链及关键行业玩家,具备出色的谈判技巧,能够驾驭复杂的销售周期和跨文化商业环境;
