Electrical Supervisor (UAE National)
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Supervise, manage and support subcontractor to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe condition.
- Coordinate between top management and sub-contractor management to provide full site work detail as per site actual condition.
- Supervise site activities, site inspection, commissioning in order to ensure quality, safety and timely completion of Projects.
- Ensure Job closing to catch up with the rapid progress on the construction of Substations and associated cable laying works for major power distribution.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow up MTO (material take off) from FMC with sub-contractors to continue site activities with out any hurdle.
- Provide the latest DGW to sub-contractors as per site condition to avoid the rework.
- Follow up equipment's arrangement with sub-contractor to proceed the job on time.
- Evaluate performance of sub-contractors and report it to top management.
- Supervise and ensure safe condition at construction site in cooperation with safety department.
- Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
- Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.
- Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction report.
- Prepare construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements.
- Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).
- Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
- Follow up RFI closing with client and sub-contractors.
- Review of BOQ in refer to latest drawings and project standard specification and take note for material that needed to be change and possible revision of BOQ.
- Review of 3D modelling at the early project stage for cable routes, device installation locations, and interference with other discplines.
- Review of Single Line diagram for overall Power System configuration and Energization.
- Prepare JSA or Equivalent Documents based on specification and requirements.
Qualifications
Experience
- Construction experience in an oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants as supervisor.
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.
Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge on construction management and engineering standards.
- Computer application ability (MS Office).
- Knowledge of electric circuits, electrical equipment and Energization
- Commissioning and testing
