Elementary Class Teacher
- Responsible for the smooth running of designated rooms through the structured timetable and school guidelines.
- Promote the general care and welfare of all children and more particularly, the children in designated classrooms.
- Maintain a daily register and supervise children in and out of the classroom, during other extra-curricular activities.
- Study and discover the personality of each student in your care.
- Work with the School management to develop and maintain the school’s Montessori program and use the weekly themed scheme.
- Organize relevant and appropriate field trips and outings.
- Maintain the standard and complete sets of Montessori materials and create appropriate new ones.
- Ensure all parents’ policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents, are completed and collected daily.
- Conduct or arrange the general cleaning of your room and ensure it is safe for the children.
- Prepare termly reports regarding the student's progress and development.
- Be willing to work in other classrooms of the School when required.
- Organize and attend ‘Parent Teacher Conferences’ every term.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in relevant fields
- A Montessori diploma/certificate from a recognized and approved Montessori College is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Elementary Directress within a practicing Montessori setting.
- First Aid certified

- Competent in Arts & Craft
- Ability to create and maintain a prepared environment, plan ahead, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of childcare and the required Health & Safety and Policy & Procedures standards in a Montessori / preschool setting
- Sincere and genuine love of children.
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Possess basic Computer skills.
- Flexible and an effective team player
- Initiative and ability to cope under pressure.
- Maintain a Professional disposition at all times.
