Gas Trader
- Develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and price drivers to identify trading opportunities
- Optimize forward gas portfolios in coordination with power trading and cross-commodity opportunities
- Manage hedging activities and structured products linked to gas market dynamics
- Leverage advanced analytics, models, and data tools to support trading decisions and forecast market movements
- Collaborate with origination, risk management, and analytics teams to align trading strategies with company objectives
- Maintain and build relationships with market participants, including exchanges, brokers, and clients
- Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes impacting gas markets
Qualifications
- Degree in a quantitative discipline
- Initial experience in spot gas trading, with a good understanding of European gas markets and their interconnection with power markets
- Background or good understand in gas logistics
- Proficiency in analysing gas market fundamentals, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical influences
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages is a plus
- Familiarity with trading platforms and exchanges such as ICE, PEGAS, or similar
- Strong risk management skills and the ability to operate within defined risk limits
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
